DIY : Sew a Square Dress with Free Pattern from Kokka-fabric.com
Yippee !! I found a Japanese website that have free pattern downloads for dresses, bags, and even harlem pants. It’s called Kokka-fabric and I tried out this square top . It came out quite nice…
The pattern comes in one size and measures 156 cm around the bust. I’ve never sewn a dress this big before. It could be a maternity dress, who knows. But when I tried it on, it delivers that oversized Japanese linen look I’ve been pinning on Pinterest. Yup.
If you’ve been wanting to try out Japanese patterns, this is a good starter project. I made a youtube on how to sew this particular dress :
and also, if you need reference, a post on How to “read” Japanese sewing pattern.
So, while I was editting the video, I noticed something weird …
They look like little angry babies, don’t they ? When I walk around they frown and make faces at me !
I couldn’t find the pattern at their site. Would love to make one. Looks so comfortable
It is very comfortable 🙂 The download link is under the project , click on the black bar 🙂 https://kokka-fabric.com/craft-sewing/echino_squareop/
