DIY: How to Sew Slipcover for Ottoman and Upholster It !
Hello there ! I’ve been wanting to do something with this ottoman which wasn’t looking very appealing :
Probably because the pleather is a-peeling here and there. Punny , ha !! At first, I wanted to make a cover with recycled jeans and keep the original 2 pc design but I found some super pretty printed linen. Irresistible ! The plan was to turn it into a simple 1 pc design and with very thick batting, the gap shall be covered.
I found the 2″ batting while fabric shopping with new friends. They’ve all moved here to Bangkok and two of them have crafty sites ! –> crafter hours and paula handmade <– Yay for the Internet or we would never have met !
The width of the batting was wide enough to cover the ottoman in one piece. All I did was drape it over the ottoman and pin the corners , no need to measure !
Here’s the video instruction:
Here’s a collage for easy pinning :
Your ottoman looks great.
Thank You ! It’s much fluffier than the original version 🙂
It looks so cute with the cover!
