DIY : Refashion an Ikea Beach Bag to 3-way Convertible Bag

Hello there ! My 2 parts youtube diy is up, I took the Ikea Nipprig seagrass beach bag and change it into a convertible bag. Now I can use it as a tote, over-shoulder / cross body bag, and also a back pack. I really like carrying it backpack style as it is totally unique here. I’ve seen weaved backpacks online, but they cost around US$ 80-100 ! The Nipprig bag is less than US$3 !! I bought the small size one , which is about 58 cm wide :

I use rivets to attach the webbings, but if you don’t have rivet setting tools, there are screw-on ones available. The screw-on ones won’t have as tight a fit as the hammer set ones though. To keep the rivets from falling off the weave, I diy-ed some leather backings. They look very neat inside the bag !
