Bangkok Bike Routes : Seaview + Seafood @ Bangsaen2 , Samutprakarn

We checked out the little lane along Bangsaen 2 and it lead us to this place :

An idyllic place to enjoy the view and watch local fishermen go about their day. It’s not far from Bangkok. Just drive to Samutprakarn and make a U-turn before you reach Ancient City. Turn left right after you pass Caltex gas station. At the end of the “soi” there are a couple seaside restaurants. You can park there and start cycling. ( The map is here. )

There are no streetlights, so time your ride 🙂

After you passed the shipyard, you have to carry your bike over a couple of stairs to continue the ride.

bangsaen2 shipyardThe whole trip is less than 9 KM, we have kids riding with us and they did fine. Some interesting sights alone the path :

An abandoned ship, transformer-style :

The Lone Tree , like a giant bonsai, dwarfed by the open sea :

On Google’s map, the path continues on pass the Bangpu Resort. Haven’t got the chance to check the second half of the route. If you did, please share 🙂
