How to Sew a Double Tote Bag

This bag looks just like a regular tote bag, but it is actually 2 totes sewn together on one side and sharing the handles. I’ve checked on Youtube if there is a tutorial on it, found 2, but they weren’t lined, so I’m adding how to line it to the knowledge pool 🙂 I’m going to write more run-on sentences cuz it’s late and I’m just typing whatever is in my brain. Here is how it looks like :

It is sewn like a tube, so when you fold the bag’s opening together, it forms 2 bags and also an extra slot “hole” at the bottom. The tutorial is here :

If you have a particular size that you want to make , you can use the formulas below to calculate the pattern pieces. I made mine from a sofa bed cover . Not sure why I mentioned that.
