More Charlie Bags
Newcomers at the fabric street : colorful sponge fabric for laptop sleeves. I thought they will make good linings for the Charlie bags, thick without the bulky weight, plus added protection for phones and gadgety stuffs.
I matched a black color one with Ikea fabric.Surprisingly it didn’t turn the inside of the bag into a giant black hole. The material was lightweight enough for light to pass through. I turned the bag out through the handle’s hole, then finished the raw edges with black bias tape.
This is how it looks , side A :
and side B :
This one has found a new home with my friend 🙂
Another version, in linen :
Tip : If you are binding this bag with matching bias tape ( made from the same flowery fabric ) it is better to finish it off with some hand sewing. It is neater than machine sewing.
You can find the pattern link from my last post . Totally free from BurdaStyle !
