DIY : Painted Jeans Cherry Blossoms
I have this pair of oversized mom jeans that’s very comfy, very baggy but hardly ever worn. It just look so dull and boring :
It really need a makeover. So I went on a Pinterest quest and found this tutorial from Brit and Co :
It’s a howto to make Blake Lively’s Cherry Blossom Boyfriend Jeans. The original version is quite pricey but it also gives back part of its proceeds to a good cause.
This was quite a fun project. It’s okay to get messy so it was very relaxing to make. Things I did differently was adding textile medium to the acrylic paint and using a lighter shade for the flowers. I painted 2 layers of white for the flowers before adding the pink :
… and I also used a permanent marker to draw out the branches before covering them up in dark brownish paint :

I love your videos! And these cherry blossom jeans are awesome. I always wanted to do something like this and using paint would be much faster than embroidery and/or beading. Great job and thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you ! Those blossoms really brighten up the jeans and give it a new life 🙂
