DIY : Cloche or Hat ??
This pattern is pretty simple, as long as you didn’t break your crochet hook into half 2/3 of the way. Man, then it gets testing. I crocheted three strands of cheapo acrylic yarn with a number 8 ? hook. The pattern called for two strands but I wanted to make something chunky … so the cloche came out a bit loose-fitting and now it is a hat ! A rolled rim hat, to make it sound more fancy.
I’ll be updating this post with the pattern a bit later. My notes are downstairs and I’m not going to get them cuz I’m spooked. I watched an interview of people who sees dead people. I’m not even getting off my bed !
*UPDATE * huhuhu , did I say a bit later ? I’m dealing with the aftermath of a vacation which involves an avalanche of dirty laundry… and here is the pattern :
Start with : Ch4, sl st into a circle
Round 1 : 9X
Round 2 : 9V, all in T
Round 3 : 9 ( V T )
Round 4 : 9 ( V 2 T )
Round 5 : 9 ( V 3 T )
Round 6 : 9 ( V 4 T )
Round 7 – 10 : T all around
Round 11 : X all around
Round 12 : ( 4X, 1V ) all around
Round 13-14: X all around
… where X = single crochet ; V = increase ; T = double crochet.
It looks nice! I’ve been thinking of making a cloche that the brim ‘rolls’
up part of the way.
Thank you ! I discovered that it could also be turned into a small handbag !
