Coffee time at Namon Nomwan Cafe, Bang Sean

On the way back from the beach, umm, many months ago ? , we passed by Bang Saen and checked out this coffee place ( translated : Round Face, Sweet Milk ) which has been getting good raves online. It’s the place to be if you like open space and big trees. And of course, coffee.

wpid-namom-nomwan2.jpg.jpegToasts are a big thing in Thailand.  Local toast are made on a grill, with margarine. They’ll toast up the bread, slap on some margarine, toast it some more till it’s a bit burn on the edges, then dip the margarine side down into a plate full of white sugar. It’s DIVINE. If that’s not enough sugar for you , you can douse it with condensed milk or coconut custard. YUM !

The ones served here, I suspect, are not done in the local way. A bit dry, maybe they use real butter. Anywoo, the presentation gets full points.

The trees are what makes this place special. Hello Ents !

I like that they build their coffee shop around the trees and even bend some fences so that man-made makes room for nature-made. Respect for nature !

Just a shot of shadows which I think it’s cool.
